He is one of the most popular anime characters and was chosen the most popular male character of 2006, 2007, and 2008 at Animage magazine’s annual Anime Grand Prix.

His pink colored eye actually has powers and any eye contact with him can give him complete control over that person. Now that’s a powerful eye!

Will pink contact lenses work on dark eyes?

Typically the lighter color your eyes are, the better colored contacts will work. The good news is that with theatrical colored contacts, such as pink, the difference should be very minimal to non-existence.

The reason is because theatrical pink contacts are designed to completely cover the natural color of your eye, as opposed to natural colored contacts like blue or green tint which usually just highlight or add a tone to your natural eye colors.

If you are buying pink colored contacts and you have dark colored eyes such as brown, or dark brown, then the darker pink you get the better, and as long as they are Plano contacts which cover the entire eyes natural color, you should get a perfect pink colored eye with no problems at all.

You might want to first ask the manufacturer or company you are buying the pink contacts from first, just to make sure they will work for you.

Do I need to be fitted for pink contacts?

It’s always a good idea to know what size contacts you wear even if the size differences are usually minor.

The two factors you need to know in regards to the size of the contact lenses you buy are the curve and diameter.

Most contact lenses you buy will have a curve of around 8.6 and diameter of 15.0. This can range slightly though, and although the size difference will not normally make a huge difference in the comfort, it’s good to find out from a doctor or eye care specialist first to make sure everything will be okay.

The sizes that they sell pink contacts, and all other colored contact lenses will usually fit around 99% of people with no issues.

Can I sleep in my pink contact lenses?

Typically it’s not recommended that you sleep in your contact lenses, regardless of the color or style. The biggest factor on whether or not it can damage your eyes is the quality and type of contact lenses.

If you are using premium contact lenses for vision correction, they are usually okay to occasionally sleep in under certain circumstances, but you should always check with your eye care specialist first. You may have sensitive eyes or another reason they would tell you to never do this.

If you are, or plan on buying theatrical contact lenses however, you should probably not sleep in them.

Theatrical and Halloween colored contact lenses are usually made just to wear for a few hours at a time before they are cleaned and your eyes are given some time to rest.

You should consult with the manufacturer or company you bought the pink contact lenses from to find out exactly what you can and can’t do with them.

Do I need a prescription to buy pink contacts?

You will need a prescription if you plan on buying pink contact lenses.

A few years back the FDA changed the law so that now you have to get a valid prescription from your eye care specialist, or doctor, if you want to get any kinds of contact lenses whatsoever, whether they are vision correcting or just plano colored contacts for theatrical purposes.

This is because they are now considered to be “medical devices” instead of just accessories. This was mostly done since these contact lenses will be in your eye, they don’t want just anybody to be able to sell them. This is so there is some accountability if something goes wrong.

If you you wear broken or torn, or poorly made contact lenses then you can damage your eye, and if just anyone is allowed to sell pink contacts then the chance of this happening is much more common.

You used to be able to find colored contacts for your eye just about anywhere. A convenient store, the flea market, but since this law has passed the only way to get them is to visit a license eye care specialist and have them give you a prescription.

The good news is that it is easy and inexpensive to get the prescription so as long as you plan a little ahead you should have no problems in finding the perfect pink contact lenses.

Albinism is a hypopigmentary disorder of the genes, which is caused due to lack of melanin pigment. It can also be referred to as achromia or achromatosis. The term ‘albinism’ is taken from the Latin word albus, which means white. About 1 in 70 people carry the recessive gene for albinism. About 1 in every 17,000 people have the albinism disorder. Albinism can occur equally, to both males and females.

Albinos are usually recognized instantly for their extremely light skin, which lacks pigmentation, and their red and pink colored eyes. As you can see in the picture above the iris and pupil are usually tinted red, where the cornea is pinkish. If you are looking to imitate an albino for Halloween having your eyes pink would definitely do the trick.
